Clickonauts 2.0 is here! This is the biggest overhaul yet, bringing the game closer to the strategic, engaging, and fast-paced experience I’ve been envisioning.
But first… let’s talk about something that keeps coming up.

Yes, I use AI.
Yes, I use it to organize my thoughts, structure my ideas, and speed up development.
No, that doesn’t make me lazy—it makes me efficient.
I’m not here to prove I’m the perfect human. I’m dabbling in game design, experimenting, and creating something fun. AI is here to stay, and I choose to use it as a tool, not a crutch.
I’m 95% sure I have Asperger’s, and AI helps me cut through the mental clutter, structure my workflow, and focus on actually making the game. It doesn’t replace my creativity—it amplifies it.
And for those wondering:
- Any comments or discussions from me? 100% authentically me.
- My dev updates? Structured and efficient, because AI is a tool—and I use it like one.

🆕 Clickonauts 2.0 – What’s New?
This update reworks core mechanics, improves gameplay flow, and adds strategy while keeping the action engaging.
🔹 Core Gameplay Enhancements
✅ Drones got a major intelligence boost.
- No more wandering aimlessly. They now prioritize efficient collection instead of getting stuck on random paths.
- Smarter targeting: They optimize bit collection based on bit value and proximity.
✅ Vacuum behavior overhauled.
- They now focus on specific quadrants, clearing large areas quickly instead of inefficient movement.
- This prevents bit overload, keeping the screen clean and readable.
✅ Bit spawn mechanics improved. (In progress)
- No more scattered mess! Bits now drop in a controlled spawn zone (~middle 25% of the screen).
- This will prevent bits from getting stuck behind UI elements and ensures players can actively interact with them.
🔹 Stage 2 Overhaul – Keeping the Action Going
✅ Stage 2 now dynamically adjusts spawn rates.
- No more dead moments. As players collect bits, the system keeps replenishing them while maintaining balance.
- This ensures constant engagement and prevents the screen from feeling empty.
✅ Vacuum collectors now adapt to Stage 2.
- They switch from general bit collection to blue-bit focus to help expose Neutrinos for strategic clearing.
✅ Bit Cap System Implemented.
- Limits the number of bits on-screen to prevent FPS drops & clutter.
- Balancing tweaks ensure that collection is always an active process.
🔹 UI & Progression Adjustments
✅ Boss battles now feel more rewarding.
- Better bit drop distribution makes each fight feel like progress.
- Collecting bits post-battle now feels more intentional rather than chaotic.
✅ Click Strength has been rebalanced.
- Players can now meaningfully increase their click power for faster clearing and better strategic choices.
✅ Overall game pacing improved.
- The game now flows smoother, with less downtime between levels. 3.0 will exponentially improve this.
🔥 Clickonauts 3.0 – What’s Next?
🚀 The Balance Bar is Coming.
- A new system will store bits during Stage 1 and release them in Stage 2 to keep the action flowing.
- Players will be able to manually balance their bit collection by choosing what to target.
🚀 Drones Will Join the Fight!
- They’ll shoot at the boss instead of just collecting.
- Adds a new combat dynamic that keeps drones useful during the entire level.
🚀 UI Improvements & Optimizations.
- The new Balance Bar will integrate with the Boss HP UI for a cleaner, more intuitive experience.
- Mobile-friendly adjustments to maximize screen real estate.
🚀 More strategic depth & decision-making.
- Players will need to actively manage their resources, balance the bar, and make smarter choices.
🚀 Neutrinos are getting expanded mechanics.
- Expect new chain reaction strategies & power-ups.
