π Clickonauts - Space Clicker Gone Wild with Chain Reactions & Neutrinos!
Hey, you! Clickonauts is my baby—an idle clicker where you smash a boss, grab bits, and crank your clicks to the max. Chain Reactions blow stuff up, Neutrinos tease big chaos—click fast, win big, rule the stars!
Switched over to Phaser after hitting a dead end with HTML. Rebuilt the entire game from the ground up to prevent spaghetti code and ensure a cleaner structure. Now back to where I was, but with better stability and a solid plan.
Current Status
- Boss Mechanics: Spawns, takes damage, drops bits, regenerates HP.
- Drones: Attack the boss in Stage 1, switch to collecting bits in Stage 2.
- Vacuums: Spawn automatically and collect blue bits.
- Mothership: Circles the map, serves as a drop-off point for drones and vacuums.
- Balance Bar: Early implementation visible on HP bar—late-game strategy mechanic.
- Timers: Fully working for tracking level times.
- UI: Functional but barebones. Four sections can be minimized (hidden easter egg).
- Neutrinos: Spawn randomly, disappear quickly—grab them while you can!
- Testing Mechanics: Gold bits are worth 100x their normal value for stress testing.
- Debug Features: A red "CLEAR" button wipes all bits instantly (temporary for testing).
Next Steps
- Clean up UI and make it more intuitive.
- Implement all upgrade paths and ensure functionality.
- Expand balance bar mechanics for late-game strategy.
- Improve aesthetics after mechanics are solid.
Game is still rough visually, but core mechanics come first. Once everything is working smoothly, I'll focus on polishing the experience.

Sometimes I finish cleaning up all the bits and the dialog to advance to the next level does not appear.
Thanks for letting me know... if it happens again please press F12 and take a screenshot of the console window for debugging..
I have a known issue that bits were hiding behind things and being able to be clicked..
Today's update will hopefully fix that!
